Pressure Hull Fabrication and Assembly workshops
Three dedicated workshops have been set up for series construction and assembly of pressure hull elements. 08 in no?s advanced automated welding stations are available here for stringent quality welding operations required in submarine construction process. Exclusive blasting and painting chambers are also integrated with these workshops.
Integrated assembly workshop and dry dock
An integrated assembly workshop with built-in Dry Dock is one of the unique infrastructure and is an extremely important facility for construction of submarines. The dry dock is further connected to a wet basin.
Modular Construction Workshop
A new age workshop developed for modular construction of submarine wherein the submarine cradles are pre-outfitted before embarking these huge structures inside the submarine Pressure Hulls. workshops.
New Submarine Section Assembly workshop (SSA)
A massive 220 Meters long newly constructed greenfield workshop has been developed as a second line of submarine construction and can accommodate 5 submarines at a time during construction phase.
Non-Pressure Hull Fabrication Workshop
In addition to specialized pressure hull fabrication workshops, three additional workshops have been developed for fabrication of non-pressure hull and light fabrication components of submarine.
Pipe Fabrication Workshop
A dedicated Pipe fabrication workshop with highly advanced machinery and processing systems to meet stringent quality norms of submarine pipe fabrication. The shop provides a comprehensive one roof solution for pipe fabrication and associated engineering processes. It features modern CNC pipe bending machines, milling machines, Pressure testing chambers, painting chambers, specialized welding chambers etc. and is capable of production of around 1200 to 1500 pipes per month.
